ATTENTION ALL MANITOBA SWIM OFFICIALS WHO HAVE RECENTLY RECEIVED TRAINING!!!
SNM wants to hear from you!
Whether you occasionally contribute to timing or judging strokes at a program meet or you're interested in becoming more involved in this aspect of the sport, we want to be sure your name and qualifications are listed in the SNM Officials Registry. This initiative already has a strong start - we have collected a lot of information from our Northern and Southern rural - and Winnipeg - based clubs. However, our list is incomplete, and in some cases, does not reflect the depth your expertise.
SNM's goal is to create an up-to-date registry so that all clubs (and their meet managers as well as officials’ representatives) applying for meet sanctioning will have access to a comprehensive list of trained officials, within their club and elsewhere. It will also be useful in identifying regions or clubs that may benefit from further training so that targeted clinics can be organized with the cooperation of the Manitoba Swim Officials Association (MSOA).
The best way to let us know about your qualifications is to email (then mail) a scanned copy (.jpg format works best) of your “yellow (MSOA) card" indicating the date and instructor of the specific clinic, as well as the dates and signed proof of your participation at two practical sessions. When we have your information logged we will then send it to Mr. Jim Fleury, MSOA Chair, for verification.
