New Health Orders
As of December 6, 2021, youth aged 12 to 17 years attending indoor sport and recreational facilities must provide proof that they have received:
at least one dose of an approved vaccine, or
proof of a pharmacist-confirmed negative result from an approved rapid antigen test, from within the 72 hours before participation
It is the responsibility of the facility operator to ensure all other public health orders are followed.
In partnership with the Department of Sport, Culture, Heritage, as well as sport and education stakeholders, the Manitoba government has prepared guidance for facility operators, sports organizations, and schools to ensure they are in compliance with the public health orders.
For information on proof of vaccination, the scope of the orders, and how to collect and manage personal health information, visit:
This information is also available in a fact sheet that can be downloaded or printed, and shared with your teams.
Recreation Manitoba has complied additional resources for sport on its website:

Junior Provincials 2022
Junior Provincials was scheduled to be held in Brandon and hosted by the Brandon Bluefins on February 11-13, 2022. We have been informed that the Brandon Community Sportsplex pool has not yet re-opened, and an opening date is unknown. Considering the uncertainty of the pool availability in Brandon, we have decided to move Junior Provincials to Winnipeg. We are in the process of confirming pool availability in Winnipeg for February. We will also be looking for a club to host the meet. More information will be provided next week. Please inform your members so they may cancel any hotel bookings they may have made in Brandon.
The board of directors and the staff of Swim Natation Manitoba wish you a Happy Holidays! May the magic of the Holiday season fill your home with joy and peace. Take care of yourselves and stay safe.
Please note that the Swim Manitoba offices will be closed during the weeks of December 20 and 27.
The newsletter will also take a break during the holidays and will be back on January 14th.
