Bell Canadian Swimming Trials Results
Congrats to our swimmers, clubs and coaches who attended the Bell Canadian Swimming Trials! Manitoba swimmers earned 4 medals in total: Kelsey Wog earned silver in 200 Breast, Halle West received a silver for her 100 Breast and a bronze for her 200 Breast in the junior category, and Mia West placed second, receiving a silver for 100 Free in the junior category. World Police and Fire Games – Call for Volunteers
Michelle Neilson, many of you will know her from the deck as a red-shirt-wearing official at many swim meets in Manitoba. She has voluntarily taken on the role of Technical Lead and Meet Referee for the upcoming World Police and Fire Games (WPFG) that will be held in Winnipeg from 28 Jul – 6 Aug 2023.
Swimming will be held at Pan Am Pool on Sun 30 Jul, Mon 31 Jul, and Tue 1 Aug. As with any swim meet, officials are needed to ensure that this event runs smoothly.

The intention is to have the first draft of the officials’ grid (schedule) posted by mid to end May. The grid will be emailed to everyone who has completed the online form. This email will include further instructions on the volunteer process for the Games.
Winnipeg will be host to thousands of athletes from around the world as they compete in dozens of events and sports. You can read more information about the Games on their website www.wpfg2023.com

Swim MB Scholarship applications for the 2023-2024 Academic year have now been posted! The deadline will be June 9, 2023 4:00 PM. You can find them on the Swim Manitoba website!
Canadian Swimming Teams
Swimming Canadian Pan American Games Team and World Juniors Team announcements are out! Congratulations to Kelsey Wog who will competing in Santiago on the Pan American Games Canadian Team, and to Vlastimil Cerny who will be team coach! Congratulations also to Mia West and Halle West for their places on the Canadian World Junior Team that will be competing in Israel later this year!
