To Manitoba and Saskatchewan Swimming Community:
As you are all aware, the COVID-19 virus has become an increasing public concern and many things have transpired over that last 24 hours. The health, safety, and well-being of our members is a top priority and we wish to do our part to delay/reduce the spread of the virus in our communities and medical systems.
We have consulted with local health authorities and reviewed the most current information available relating to the situation. Based on the information from our consultations, we have made the difficult decision to cancel ManSask this weekend, in our efforts to do what is best to protect our members and help lessen the impact this virus will have on our communities. As our leaders continue to advise us, it is important that we strive to reduce transmission through social distancing and individual preparedness. A decision will be made in the next weeks if ManSask will be rescheduled.
